Here’s how to completely uninstall Things from your Mac and remove all related files.

If you want to delete your Things Cloud account as well, please follow these steps before removing the app.

If any of the files or folders mentioned below aren’t present on your Mac, you can safely skip ahead to the next step.

If you’re uninstalling the beta version of Things, the file paths below will be slightly different. Instead of com.culturedcode.ThingsMac, the paths will be com.culturedcode.ThingsMac.beta.

  1. On your Mac, quit Things.
  2. In Finder, go to /Applications/Utilities and open Activity Monitor
  3. If Things Sandbox Helper is running, select it and click the x button in the toolbar to quit it.

  1. Open Settings.
    • On macOS 13 (Ventura), go to SettingsKeyboard and click Keyboard Shortcuts.
    • On macOS 12 or older, go to System PreferencesKeyboard and click Shortcuts.
  2. Find Services and click it.
  3. Find and uncheck the entries for Things.

5. Reboot Your Mac

To complete the uninstall, reboot your Mac.
