Things Cloud keeps your to-dos synchronized across all your devices.
Before you can sync your to-dos, you need to create a free and secure Things Cloud account through the settings in the Things app. Here’s how:
Mac
- On your Mac, open Things.
- In the menu bar at the top of your screen click Things → Settings → Things Cloud.
- Click the switch for Things Cloud to turn it on.
- Click Create New Account.
- Enter your email address and choose a password.
- Click Continue.
- Check the box to accept the Terms of Service and click Continue.
- Enter the four-digit verification code you receive via email* and click Continue.
*Having trouble receiving the verification email? Check the Trash or Spam/Junk.
iPad & iPhone
- On your iPad or iPhone, open Things.
- Go to Settings → Things Cloud.
- Tap the switch for Things Cloud to turn it ON.
- Tap Create New Account.
- Enter your email address and choose a password.
- Tap Continue.
- Tap the box to accept the Terms of Service.
- Enter the four-digit verification code you receive via email* and tap Continue.
- Tap Continue again.
*Having trouble receiving the verification email? Check the Trash or Spam/Junk.
Watch
Things for Apple Watch requires a Things Cloud account. Create an account on iPhone by following the instructions in the iPad & iPhone tab above.
Vision
In Things for Vision, please follow the same steps as described in the iPad & iPhone tab above.
FAQ
- I mistyped my email when I set up the account.
- Just toggle the Things Cloud switch off, and then on again. Now create a new account with the correct email address.
- The verification code didn’t arrive.
- If the email hasn’t arrived in your Mail’s inbox/spam/junk/trash folders within a couple of minutes, log into the web interface of your email provider. Some email apps don’t download junk/trash emails but you could find it online. If you still don’t see it, contact our support team from the email address you used to sign up.
- I want to create a new account.
- If Things Cloud is already on, but you need to create a new account, just toggle the Things Cloud switch off and on again. All to-dos that are present in Things on your device will be uploaded to the new account.
- Is my data safe with you?
- Yes. All data exchanged between the client (Things on the device) and the server (Things Cloud) is encrypted. The data is also encrypted when it is stored on the servers; no data is stored in clear text. Learn more.
