Things plug-in for LaunchBar

LaunchBar 5

Support for Things is already included in LaunchBar 5. Simply follow the "Using the Things Plug-in for LaunchBar" instructions below.

Note: If you installed the Things plug-in during the beta-test of LaunchBar 5, you should delete it to avoid the "Add to Things" action from appearing twice.

LaunchBar 4

For LaunchBar 4, you will need to install the Things plug-in. Download and extract this script:

Put the script into ~/Library/Scripts/ and make sure that the “Home Library Scripts” option is checked in the Options pane of your Scripts indexing rule:

Using the Things Plug-in for LaunchBar

Open the LaunchBar window and type an abbreviation to select the “Add to Things” action:

Press Return or the Space bar (if you're using LaunchBar 4, you can only use the Space bar). Now enter some text, following the Things plug-in syntax:

Press Return and the to-do will get created in Things right away.
