Release Notes (Things for iPad)

Here is a list of current and previous updates, along with their improvements.

Added Search
TextExpander Support. (TextExpander has to be installed on the device.)
Major code overhaul for task entry. Specifically:
- the title field when entering tasks is much more responsive
- autocompletion across line-wraps now works
- the text insertion point no longer jumps when typing fast
- the loupe is not flickering anymore
- no more problems with Japanese text entry
The items under Settings > General now have explanation texts and icons.
Bug fix. Projects without a title now still display a header in Next.
Bug fix. When tapping the move button in the toolbar, the "Edit" button on the left no longer transforms into a "Done" button before fading out.
Bug fix. When the move dialog was shown, accidentally tapping outside would dismiss it. This is now fixed: you have to tap either Done or Cancel.
Bug fix. The app no longer crashes when filtering by due date while the list of todos is still scrolling.
Bug fix. When editing a Tag title and placing the cursor at the beginning of the title, the "Done" button is no longer disabled.
Bug fix. When a project becomes due, its todos were added to Today in the wrong order. This is now fixed.

Added ability to create and manage Areas of Responsibility.
Added support for creating mixed projects: the focus of to-dos in projects can now be set to active, inactive, or scheduled independently of the project's focus.
Improved move and create dialogs: the focus and project/area of a to-do can now both be set independently.
Improved Settings dialog.
Refined application icon.
Fixed a bug where Tag changes on the Mac wouldn't get synced correctly to the iPad version.
Bug fix. When checking off a task in Today, the badge count in the source list is now updated correctly.
Bug fix. The app no longer crashes when assigning a due date of today to a todo in Next, then switching to Today and checking off the todo.
Bug fix. When a project becomes due, its todos are added to Today in the wrong order. This is now fixed.
Bug fix. Switching to a different source while marking items to be shown in Today now applies all the changes before changing the source.
Bug fix. When entering text in Japanese, Things now presents a bigger input field to prevent bugs related to line wrapping. A more fundamental fix will be included in the next release.

Fixed a crash related to canceled projects.
Fixed a bug where tapping and holding the "arrow button" for Inactive Projects would cause Things for iPad to crash.
In some situations, Things for iPad would crash when moving a task into another list. This is now fixed.
Fixed inconsistency when syncing between Things for iPad and Things Mac in the count of due items in different lists.
Fixed an issue where the cursor would jump to the wrong position when deleting text in a multi-line task title.
Fixed some drawing issues for tags with very long titles.
Fixed a bug where new tags didn't appear immediately.
Fixed UI problem where closing a due date filter resulted in some drawing issues right below the toolbar.
Text within the filter bar now uses all of the available space.
Fixed animation glitches for Inactive Projects.
Localization improvements.
Improved stability and other bug fixes.
