The Things iGTD importer allows you to migrate your existing to-dos from iGTD to Things. All the information you have entered in iGTD will be imported into Things.
The iGTD Importer requires AppleScript support in Things. Please make sure that you have Things version 1.1.3 or later running on your computer.
If you already have existing to-dos in Things, we recommend to backup that data first.
To migrate your to-dos from iGTD to Things, please follow these instructions:
Download and install Things on your Mac.
Download iGTD To Things Importer.
Make sure that Things is running and launch the iGTD Importer. Once the iGTD Importer has successfully launched, you will see this dialog:

After reviewing the settings, please click “Import” to start migrating your to-dos from iGTD to Things. Wait until import is complete before using Things again.
First, the tags for mapping of iGTD priorities/efforts are created, if necessary.
Next, the iGTD context hierarchies get imported as tags in Things. Subcontexts are created as subtags.
Subsequently, all custom tags (i.e. "Important", "Urgent") used in iGTD are mapped to tags in Things under a parent tag labeled "Other". Next, all non-project to-dos and finally all projects and their to-dos get exported.
The following iGTD task properties are exported:
