People sometimes wonder when we will implement their feature requests? Here is some background on our design process.
Your feature requests - thousands of them
Each day we are receiving lots of feature requests, either via email or through our feature request forum. Please know that we value them a great deal. We have the highest respect for users who take the time to tell us what they would like to see improved. Thank you!
Why you are making a difference
Our user's input is constantly guiding us when making decisions about what to implement next. Every so often we changed our roadmap in response to feature requests. We have a very good idea of which features are requested most often and which are most pressing. We would love to share our roadmap publicly, but competitive reasons are effectively preventing us from doing so.
How to avoid feature bloat
We have often taken quite some time for implementing new features. Sometimes we reworked new features and sometimes we even removed some of them. Task management is a complex problem space. Much more so than is obvious from looking at Things. Things' apparent simplicity completely belies the power you can achieve by effectively using its features. But still, in future versions we are planning to add much more functionality. This is only possible by striving for the utmost simplicity in every feature we are adding.
Especially with task management, we believe that quality and seamless integration will win at the end of the day.
