Using Apple's MobileMe iDisk you can easily keep your Things in sync between multiple computers. For this to work, you need to set up your iDisk to keep a local copy (set this up via MobileMe entry in System Preferences). Set your iDisk to synchronise automatically.

Close Things if it is open.

Locate the Cultured Code folder in your local Library/Application Support folder (~/Library/Application Support). Copy this folder to your local iDisk.

Now open simply open Things using the copy of the Cultured Code folder you have copied to your local iDisk. Use the same approach as described on the Syncing Things on multiple Macs (FAQ).

Work normally using Things. When you are done, be sure you quit the application and iDisk will automatically sync your Things data / settings to your MobileMe copy of iDisk.

To use your Things data on another Mac, set up your iDisk to sync to the other Mac via the Apple System Preferences MobileMe pane. Set this second computer to create a local copy of your iDisk. Wait for the local copy to be created from MobileMe. Then open Things on this new computer using the same method as before. That's it! When you are done, your changes will be uploaded automatically to MobileMe.

Do not run Things on multiple computers at the same time. If you accidentally make changes on both computers, iDisk sync will spot the inconsistency between the various databases and ask you whether to use the local iDisk on the computer you are using or the one on MobileMe. If you remember to quit the application when you are done using it on any particular computer, the problem doesn't arise.

It would appear you can run this trick on as many OS X computers as you have that talk to your MobileMe account.

A helpful hint if you use this technique: check to make sure that your iDisk has completely synced with the MobileMe server when you open it (there is a status bar and a "Last synced" field at the bottom of your iDisk's Finder window). Otherwise, if you boot up Things before the sync is complete, you will open up the last version of your Things database that was saved to the disk image on that particular computer, and you will lose the work that you did on your other computer.
