Hi,

Wondering if there's any way someone could make an app that just views the task list and check things off, but with cloud sync with Things for Mac. It'd be a decent substitute in the meantime

@Anthony: We are certainly not going to charge for 1.x updates in the future. Cloud sync and sharing will be implemented in 1.x updates. Also, to reiterate what I wrote above, cloud sync has the highest priority.

I have just bought Things... and I love the way the application works on the computer. The repeating tasks is amazingly setup and the next/today view is brilliant.

But, unfortunately, I will still feel cheated until I get proper cloud syncing.

I’m just curious….why is Cloud Sync so important? I work on my lists on my iPhone. When I get home they sync to my desktop(and vice versa). Do we not want to have to turn on our desktops? Have we gotten that lazy?

I love things, but it's such a pain to sync to multiple computers. I have 3 machines and I can't always get them to sync with my iphone while traveling

I noticed you made mention that the latest update was a free update. Does that mean your planning on charging for an upgrade in the future?

I do jumped on the Things bandwagon under the impression that cloud sync and the ability to share were close. Is this no longer the case?

@Vinny: Push notifications and cloud sync are based on the same backend architecture. In fact, cloud sync will include push notifications. The latter is scheduled to be released after the repeating tasks update for the iPhone.

Am I the only one who thinks push notifications are important? Could sync is great and all, but I would much rather be NOTIFIED when I have an item that needs to be done.
